If you're in Austin during SXSW, you're invited to the Yale Club of Austin's "Innovation Meet & Greet," featuring Yalies who are innovating in their fields. Our guests will describe their paths from Yale to their current careers, and how they do innovation in their respective fields, from startups to big companies to music and film. Most of the speakers are visiting Austin for the SXSW Film Music Interactive festival, and some are officially speaking at SXSW. Free to attend, with complimentary appetizers provided by the Yale Cub of Austin. Scheduled Speakers:
- Amanda Clark, Taco Bell, SVP, Head of North America Development, and General Manager of Taco Bell Canada. Amanda has more than 15 years of marketing experience in restaurants and consumer packaged goods. Under her leadership, Taco Bell is set to deliver more net new units in the past two years than any other chain in North America. As VP of Brand Marketing at Taco Bell, she developed the innovative Breakfast launch, which won 7 Lions at Cannes in 2014, and the brand’s latest craveable platform, the Naked Chicken Chalupa. Before Taco Bell, Amanda worked at Procter and Gamble for nearly 12 years on some of P&G’s biggest brands, such as Olay, Pampers and Oral-B. Amanda graduated from Yale University with a bachelor's degree in Psychology and Theater Studies. She is visting from Irvine, CA. Amanda is speaking on the SXSW panel "Women Buillding the Brands We Always Wanted" on Sunday March 10, 12:30p at Fairmont Congressional C.

- Liz Asai, 3Derm Systems, CEO. 3Derm is a digital health company that has developed skin imaging systems paired with machine learning algorithms to more effectively triage dermatology patients. Prior to founding 3Derm in 2012, she was a principal investigator of a teledermatology clinical study at the Yale School of Medicine. Liz has raised several rounds of capital, attracted over a million dollars in public and private research grants. She was recently featured in LinkedIn’s Top 10 Healthcare Professionals under 35, and Forbes 30 Under 30. Liz holds a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering from Yale University. She is visting from Boston, MA. Liz is speaking on a SXSW panel on Sunday March 10, 11a on "Beating the Hype of AI in Healthcare" at JW Marriott, H.

- Eraina Ferguson, My Good Life, Founder. Eraina founded “My Good Life” to share what she has learned about raising a child with speical needs. "My Good Life" share the possibilities for parents and families with special needs children to live a good life despite their circumstances, through wellness education and self care. She is a frequent TED X speaker. MAR Religion. She is visiting from Los Angeles. Eraina is speaking at SXSW on Sunday March 10, 4p at Palmer.

- Richmond Punch, Violinist. Richmond Punch is a violin virtuoso who delivers a riveting, dynamic, explosive, and powerful performance. He is a graduate of Juilliard and earned a Master’s Degree from Yale University. His business specializes in live violin music for all events including special events, corporate events, concerts, festivals, weddings and worship. He has also played backup for Kenny G and Diana Ross. Richmond is visiting from Dallas, TX. He is performing at the Rendezvous band jam during SXSW Music in Austin on Thursday March 14 at Flamingo Cantina.

- Michael Wilson, Tech Entrepreneur. Formerly at Personify Corporation, Chief Strategy Officer, where he led strategic initiatives including strategic planning, key performance indicator monitoring, mergers and acquisitions, and new company integration. He previously worked at IBM. Michael is Yale Club of Austin - Vice President. He graduated Yale in Economics, summa cum laude.

- Moderator: Kevin Winston, Digital LA, Founder and CEO. Kevin founded Digital LA, which organizes networking events and the Silicon Beach Fest confernece which bring the entertainment, tech, and startup communities together in LA. Digital LA has been recognized by LA Mayor Eric Garcetti and Forbes as helping bring the LA entrepreneurial, entertainment and tech communities together. Kevin formerly worked at McKinsey & Company, Sony Picutres Digital, and Fox Interactive Media, where he created innovative film, music, games marketing campaigns and partnerships with major brands. Kevin is also founder of Yale in Hollywood, and the Yale Tech LA chapter. He is also Yale Alumni Association Board of Governors member. He co-founded and co-admins the Yale Alumni Facebook group, which has grown from 0 to 20,000 alumni in 1.5 years. He graduated Yale magna cum laude and has a masters from Harvard.
